Bending The Unwritten Rules Of Email Marketing

For the past few days, I’ve been working on completing my 2021 strategy, specifically the part where I revamp my welcome sequence.

As of right now, it’s just one simple welcome email that has the link to the sample chapters of my book.

But now I’m thinking of making some of the following changes:

1. Convert and condense all the chapters in the PDF file into a sequence of emails.

Instead of letting my new email subscribers wait for the welcome email, download the PDF, open it, and finally read its content, why not just give the content straight to them by putting them in the emails themselves? I think it’s a good way to make the instant gratification even more instantaneous.

2. Letting the subscribers choose when to get the emails.

Let me explain this one a bit.

When it comes to automated email sequences, usually the norm is to spread each of the emails out by a day or three.

But think about this for a second.

Let’s say somebody is sick with a disease and goes to the doctor to get a cure. The doctor tells the person what the disease is and that cure is available. But to get the cure, the person has to wait three days.

It doesn’t really make sense. If the doctor has a cure, wouldn’t it be the right thing to give it to the patient right away?

The same goes for your emails. If someone joins your email list to seek your help by reading your valuable emails, why make them wait one to three days for your help? Why not give them the option on when they receive your emails?

In order to do that, I just need to make a few changes to the automated sequence. No big deal.

But the point I’m trying to make is this.

Just because most people follow these unwritten email marketing rules like spacing out your emails, doesn’t necessarily mean you have to follow them too.

Emailing weekly or monthly they say? How about emailing everyday? Especially when you use the methods in How to Become an Email Titan, you might see some amazing results.
